Module 4...

Looks like we are doing a LOT of group work this week. Lets try to stay connected VIA the blog. Looks like we need to create this project using google maps, etc. Also, it looks like we need to register for something online, too. We need to pick a project related to our topic "water resources" and follow the steps to the project. Whats everyone think?

  1. The first step in this assignment is for your group to decide what type of assignment you would do with your class (that directly relates to your Project-based Learning topic) to demonstrate cultural understanding and global awareness. Together, your team will write up a detailed description of this assignment. Examples might be having students in your class and in a class from a different place compare and contrast differences and similarities between their regions as they relate to the content of their projects (i.e. different/similar vegetables, birds, weather, etc.)

    1. Looks like first, as a group, we must decide what type of project we want to do with our students, that has to do with different cultures and water resources. She gave the example of comparing and contrasting different things.
We could do something with comparing and contrasting different water resources from a different country and then America?
We could use China? Or we could do something where they compare/contrast different bodies of water in their area..
Does ANYONE else have any other ideas? I don't know how I feel about this idea, but we need to come up with an idea fast. We can't work on our google project until we ALL decide on a topic and begin.

**I am working on creating the Google Document FOLDER for everyone to become a part of. We will write our description of our project on this, then everyone can be a part of it and edit/revise the write up of what we want to do. So, please check your gmail accounts, asap.

    2. Then, it looks like one of us needs to create a google map.
-One member of your group will go to Google maps and create a map. That group member will need to share the map with the rest of the group members by clicking on Collaboration, and inviting group members. Click on "Allow anyone to edit this map". This will let other group members make changes if needed.

Anybody want to create the map for us, after we finish the first part?

Sorry it seems like so much, but I just want to get started on this assignment as soon as possible. We also have to all make sure we do a different topic for our movie too. Please let me know what you guys want to do about the ePals and google map section!
